The staff did give us a nice $ credit for our wait so that helped. ![]() We got there early, but wanted to wait for our room to go to the waterpark and it took a lot longer than we anticipated. ![]() I read a lot of reviews and some of them worried me, however we found our entire trip to be very enjoyable! The only thing that did not go perfect was our room took a really long time to be ready for us. I'd say the perfect age range for this place is 7 to 12, but lots to do for everyone. We just got back from a two night stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL. the 18 & 13 yr old said the slides were big enough to enjoy. H2o park needs to be open longer at night. I liked that the wrist bands act as room key. Slides go outside of building but land indoors, so no worries about rain. Entire h2o park is inside, except a pool outside. They must constantly bend over and literally make sweeping motions with their heads as they look in their section of water. I've never seen lifeguards act the way they do here. My older teens liked the h2o park, ropes and rock wall. Loved story time screen (but my kids were too old/cool to participate). Price of pass is a bit high compared to what you get at other places.no laser tag & gokarts. Love the water park, choice of eats, MagiQuest game. Overall it was a great experience!! There is so much more good I can say about this place! Don't forget to buy a paw pass, all my kids thoroughly enjoy the quest, ice cream, candy, arcade, and wands they brought home. When you first enter the water park they measure your kids height and give them a colored wristband so you'll know who can ride alone or with a chaperone. They had a good amount of lifeguards stationed at each attraction, making sure everything was safe for kids. The waterpark offered a big changing/bathrooms. They also have a wave pool, basketball pool, outdoor pool, and 2 big slides with up to 5 rider tubes. There is a lazy river, tube slides, body slides, young kids section, older kids section with 5 slides at different heights and other water activities. Second, the waterpark was more than enough to please my group. We were lucky our room was ready when we arrived at 1pm, so we unloaded and went to nearby McDonalds for a quick bite. First, check in was very quick and friendly. We had a blast exploring, doing the waterpark, and doing as much as we could while there for 2 nights. Our group included 2 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids. I ended up walking down with a child wildly crying because after 2 days in the park he was suddenly too short.but if he got his shoes he could ride. ![]() Shoes makes it safe? Needless to say the consistency of protocol is laughable. She also told us for safety reasons he could no longer go down the slide his brother just went down, but if I went and got his shoes then he could go. She acknowledged letting him down the slide earlier in the day. Fifteen minutes before closing on the second day one of the operators randomly decided to measure him at which point he was a half inch short. Both my children were yellow, but my youngest was barely yellow. You are measured when you enter the park and receive a band. In both cases the staff was quick to respond, but at $800 a night I expect more. We also noticed a toilet leaking the next morning. In our two night stay we got locked out of our room due to a faulty lock. We ended up in o e of the two room suites.
